NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND COMMENT PERIOD FOR THE PROPOSED ANNUAL PLAN FY2013 AND AMENDMENTS TO THE AGENCY ADMISSIONS & CONTINUED OCCUPANCY POLICY AND HOUSING CHOICE (SECTION 8) ADMINISTRATIVE PLAN MUNICIPAL HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF UTICA, NEW YORK
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to Section 511 of the Quality Housing and Work Responsibility Act of 1998 (QHWRA), that the Municipal Housing Authority of the City of Utica, New York (UMHA) has developed the required the FY 2013 Annual Plan for the Public Housing and tenant-based Housing Choice Voucher Programs. The Annual Plan describes UMHA’s mission and the long-range goals and objectives for achieving the mission. The Annual Plan provides details about the strategy for handling operational concerns, residents’ concerns and needs, as well as programs and services for the upcoming fiscal year. The UMHA also intends to amend its Public Housing Admissions and Continued Occupancy Policy as well as the Housing Choice (HCV) Administrative Plan. A public hearing will be held to discuss the PHA, ACOP, and HCV Administrative Plans and to invite public comment regarding the Plans. Written comments may be submitted prior to or at the hearing. The Authority will hold a public hearing on the adoption of the proposed FY 2013 Agency Annual Plan as well as amendments to the ACOP and HCV Administrative Plan on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. at the Authority’s main offices located at the Perretta Twin Towers, 509 Second Street, Utica, New York 13501. The Agency proposed 2013 Annual Plan as well as revised ACOP and HCV Administrative Plans are available for review at the Authority main offices as well as at each property management office located at our various housing developments from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. It is also available on our web site – www.uticamha.org. Comments on the Agency Annual Plan, HCV Plan, and ACOP, which begin on Friday, August 17, 2011, may be submitted in writing to the Executive Director no later than October 10, 2012 at the address indicated above. Residents are invited to participate in the MHA Resident Advisory Board and tenant meetings to offer input on the Plan.
