Our HOPE VI Project is run by RMV (Rebuild Mohawk Valley)
Multi-year plan to revitalize Cornhill!

On Tuesday March 4, 2003, Utica Municipal Housing Authority was awarded with an $11.5 million HOPE VI grant from the Department of Housing and Urban Development. That grant money, which is as good as in the bank, will be used specifically for building and rebuilding Utica public housing. But then there's the matter of improving the rest of the neighborhood, MHA Executive Director Steve Kambic said.

Checks, balances and a healthy dose of communication. That's what Utica's Municipal Housing Authority will rely upon in the coming years as it works to funnel $96 million-worth of funding, goods and services into one of the city's poorest neighborhoods.

Mission Statement

A collaborative community iniative to improve housing and the quality of life for low-moderate income residents within the Cornhill area as a catalyst for economic growth and private investment throughout the City of Utica.

HOPE VI is a model community with sufficient resources for continued growth. Rebuild Mohawk Valley will provide the best possible services and opportunities associated with creating affordable, desirable, and secure housing to individuals and families.
