Responsibilities

  • Manage the payroll function ensuring efficient systems, process and controls.
  • Manage the financial system, ensuing maximum productivity.
  • Oversee the continuous improvement of accounting and financial processes and the development of the team with the goal to achieve best practices.
  • Develop and oversee accounting policies and procedures to meet both current and future business models.
  • Oversee the external audit, review and analyze results and recommend for approval the audited financial statements.
  • Prepare all HUD financial documents.
  • Oversee the cash management function, including banking relationships.
  • Oversee housing authority purchases.
  • Develop finance and accounting team goals that are fully aligned with the housing authority goals.
  • Responsible for all financial management reporting.
  • Manage ongoing banking relationships for maximum efficiency.
  • Develop cash flow forecasting and maintain a long term cash forecast.
  • Present monthly and year-to-date financials with accompanying analysis of results.
  • Develop regular reporting and analysis including monthly budget reporting package and conduct ad hoc financial analysis as required.
  • Ensure financial management reporting is in place to support the ongoing and future needs of the housing authority.
  • Participate in the annual plan development and lead the budgeting process.
  • Provide ongoing financial modeling and analysis expertise to other divisions.
  • Lead the financial modeling and analysis to support the development of long term strategic initiatives.

Reminders

Please remember to pay your rent by the fifth business day of each month to avoid a $25 late fee. Cash is only accepted the first five business days of each month. Checks and money orders are accepted throughout the month. The cash office is closed the last two business days of each month. No payments will be accepted when the cash office is closed. Please contact your property management staff for any questions regarding your account.
